Balesin Island

The boats parked near the Balesin Clubhouse, ready to take you for a ride. Let's go...

For a swim,  a walk, sightseeing, there's so much fun things to do. Not for me, I am only here for a few hours and took the chance to take lots of pictures to share with you, the beauty of a paradise.

 Ain't this Paradise?

 Inviting seaside...
 A resting place at night...

Balesin Island sounds foreign to my ears or maybe a bit on the downside. This is the first I've heard such island in the Philippines. I know from my geography class that the beautiful country, the Philippines, is composed of more than 7000 island. It shouldn't be a surprise to hear such name.

However, upon learning about this island, had kind of made me wonder why it is undiscovered by the growing tourism in the Philippines.  My friend who invited me described the island as a world class beach destination.  Last Sunday of December, year 2013, I had the privilege to be invited by a friend to represent him for a commitment for the Simbang Gabi masses at Balesin Island.

I did not know much about the place. According to him, it’s a world class beach resort destination available exclusively to members only and is located at the western coast of Luzon, probably about 21 kilometers from Polilio, Quezon. One needs to be airlifted in order to reach this paradise by invitation only.

 White sand everywhere....

Coconut trees everywhere...

The island has seven beach resort villages modeled from top global beach holiday destination namely: Balesin of the tropical Philippines; Bali of Indonesia; Phuket of Thailand, Costa del Mar of Spain; St. Tropez of France, Toscana of Italy and Mykonos of Greece. Each village features a restaurant that carries famous food from appetizers to desserts in their menus identified to the seven aforementioned countries.

Going to this island is like having a trip to seven different holiday destinations of which four are European. Indeed a paradise to experience but reserved only for a few who are exclusive members of the club.

Peace, love, joy and tranquility be upon you, my friend.

The photos taken on Balesin featured four resorts of the island, namely: Balesin, Bali, Costa del Sol and partly Mykonos. Most of the photos taken of "Balesin Island" ,  pictures on Mykonos were featured plus those taken in Toscana, St. Tropez and Phuket. A few of the photos taken features the the area where the mass celebration happen, at the island's chapel.

At the private hangar of Alphaland at the Manila Airport, Vic had introduced me to the pilot who would eventually fly me to Balesin Island. From NAIA, the smooth flight took us about thirty minutes in a nine-seater Cessna Grand Caravan plane at that rather cloudy morning. That flight to me was a very special one as I was the only passenger of the pilot and his assistant who bring all the time vacationing members to this country’s probably most luxurious beach destination.

Balesin Island, Exclusive Members Only

A Private Paradise For Members Only

Claimed to be the finest island exclusive for members only club name Balesin Island sounds foreign to my ears and unheard of. For starters, I am not in the circle of rich and famous, that's why. This is the first time I've heard such island in the Philippines. Of course, there are 7,000 or more islands that put together entire Philippines and some are famous while some rest in peace, undiscovered until someone develops the island. I learned from my high school that this beautiful country, the Philippines, is composed of 7,100 islands, and please correct me if I'm wrong.
It shouldn't be surprised to hear such name for the first time. However, upon learning about this island, it kind of made me curious why it is unpopular to the locals with the growing tourism in the Philippines.  My friend who was invited described the island as a world class beach destination.  On the last Sunday of December, year 2013, he had the privilege to be invited by a friend to represent him for a commitment for some people who live in Balesin Island. According to him, it’s a world class beach resort destination available exclusively to members only and is located at the western coast of Luzon, probably about 21 kilometers from Polilio, Quezon. One needs to be airlifted in order to reach this paradise by invitation only.

At the private hangar of Alphaland at the Manila Airport, his friend Victor introduced the pilot who would eventually fly Ed, my friend, to Balesin Island. From NAIA, the smooth flight took about thirty minutes in a nine-seater Cessna Grand Caravan plane at a rather cloudy morning. Ed was elated, feeling very special for he was the only passenger at that time.  The pilot and his assistant transports vacationing members regularly by invitation only to this probably the finest beach destination, inhabiting a 500 acre island, covered in luxuriant tropical rainforest, a private paradise for members only.

The island has seven beach resort villages modeled from top global beach holiday destination namely: Balesin of the tropical Philippines; Bali of Indonesia; Phuket of Thailand, Costa del Sol of Spain; St. Tropez of France, Toscana of Italy and Mykonos of Greece. Each village features a restaurant that carries famous food from appetizers to desserts in their menus identified to the seven aforementioned countries. The architecture of each village is fashioned authentically according to its different cultures and the food features authenticity as well, epitome of most luxurious beach resorts around the world. The island also has a 1.5 kilometer-long concrete runway that can accommodate regional aircrafts and private jets.

Going to this island is just having a trip to seven different holiday destinations of which four are European. Indeed a paradise to experience but reserved only for a few who are exclusive members of the club.

Balesin is so beautiful but for invitation only, a few belong; the majority of us wish to be.
